Weimaraner Competition, Sport and Hunting
Weimaraners can excel in competitions and shows with the right combination of good breeding and training.
Weimaraners are outstanding in obedience, agility, hunting, field trials or search and rescue.
The athleticism and endurance of the Weimaraner together with their physical confidence naturally prepares them for dog sports with mentally challenging courses and agility trials.
Weimaraners can mature slower than other breeds so take your time traning younger dogs.
If needed seek an experienced trainer who can either undertake the training themselves or guide you in your own training.
Weimaraners can take part in AKC hunt tests and field trials as well as competing in tests run by the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association.
