If I were to get a Weimaraner and a Rhodesian Ridgeback should I let them mate? Whats wrong with it if I do?
I want to get both dogs and I know I can handle these breeds.... If I were to get these breeds I was thinking of getting a female Weim and a Male RR.... If I mated these guys would the pups come out nice? Why is there such a bad vibe when people want to mate their dogs if they are capable of keeping them healthy and finding them good homes and owners? Also How would I get a license to own more than three dogs in Los Angeles? |

I used to own a very sweet Weim x RR. She was very intelligent and loved playing soccer too! Many people cross breed these two breeds without any problems. |

you obviously know nothing. you are adding to an already over populated mess of dogs. there are tons of dogs in shelters that need loving homes. but instead you want to mate a female, put her through all that, just because you think puppies are cute. breeding is not a hobby |

Even if you can take good care of these puppies and find them good homes, for every puppy you breed, one more in a shelter will die. If you really love dogs, encourage your friends who would otherwise have taken your puppies to adopt from a shelter. |

What would you be hoping to accomplish in breeding them? They are two different breeds with different purposes and very different temperaments - you will not get a mix of traits but could get nearly anything. |

I think that they would be beautiful dogs. I know both breeds and they are good looking dogs. Be prepared to be critized for wanting to breed them though. |
