I have come down to two dog breeds that i like and i know they will suit my life Style: I am aware of their exercise needs both mentally and physically, I am very active, i go jogging 3 times a week and camping at least once a month, i will exercise my dog abut 1 hour to 1 hour and a half each day. i will of course socialize my dogs alot.
what i am looking in a dog is this:
- will be a velcro dog!
- which one is easier to train
- not as reserved
- good with kids
which of these dogs is better for me.

They are kind of the same really. Both are gun dogs and both have high energy levels, both breeds need long walks and need you to be a good and steady pack leader.
Train ability? German Short Haired Pointer as they are very willing to please.
Weimaraners are more head strong.

I'd go for a German Short Haired Pointer but its your choice!!

Definitely a German Short hair! I have a three year old, a 15 year old, an 18 year old, and a 7 year old and my buddy was perfect with right from the start, and he was only 4 months old! We had ours trained perfectly in 2 months, maybe less. He was also a winner in 5 different obedience competitions 1 month after that!

Those breeds are pretty close in attitude. Both are fairly easy to train if you can deal with training dogs that think and move faster than you do ;-)

Over all, though, I would say I've seen more hyper out of control GSP's than I have Weimaraners. I think some of the GSP lines really are .. sorta wired for sound. Don't get me wrong, It think they're great dogs but they are bundles of energy ... especially as puppies.

So if it was me, I'd go for the Weimaraner, but ... you're the one that has to live with the dog everyday so, choose wisely!!

I'm not trolling here, but in my experience, neither of these dogs will fit any of your criteria. You'd be better off with one of the retrievers, if you're set on a purebred.
