Yes! We have a weim and a chocolate lab. I don't think it's cause they are taken away to soon from their mothers, they are just a high maintenance breed and I think it comforts them. He won't sleep without something soft either. Our chocolate lab chews it up, but Remmy our weimaraner sucks on his blue blanket and on towels and socks and everything like a pacifier. He also had a really bad problem with salvating a lot when he was little, like not just regular dog drool but slimy pools that would fill his kennel. It was gross, but once we got him a fleece blanket he sucks on it and it has helped a lot. Did yours ever have problems with lots of slimy drool, like excessive amounts? Our vet said it was separation anxiety from the owners cause that breed needs a lot of attention. |
