Tomorrow I am set to adopt a 10 month old, full blooded male Weimaraner. It has been housebroken and obedience trained, per the owner. I am scared of getting ripped off and them scamming me about the dog. So, do I need to print off a bill of sale? Where can I download a free bill of sale for the dog?
I have studied Weimaraners and they are my favorite breed of dog. What should I know about them? I have a male terrier and he is already neutered and some neutered outdoor cats that are dog friendly. My child is also a toddler. Should I be concerned? The dog has been exposed to these things says the owner. |

There are Puppy Lemon Laws, be sure to read over them before you purchase your dog. Also, be sure that you have all the information from the breeder or previous owner before you leave with the pooch. Have you never seen the dog before? You should always, always, always meet the dog before agreeing to purchase them!
If you have studied them, then do not worry - I'm sure you will be fine. The Weimaraner can be very energetic, so you may want to be cautious when near your child. Even I, a 17 year old girl, have been taken down by a Weimaraner in the past. All dogs are different, but she will have energy that will require activity to tire her out.
Good luck! |

Hello, i own a 10 month old weimaraner, and they are great dogs. The only thing i would question is that they are very energetic and can easily knock over your children. Also, they are a hunting breed, and have a natural instinct to hunt ...this means chasing after cats if they weren't raised around them. I would maybe ask this breeder if the dog has been socialized around cats. I would ask for a bill of sale for sure, i did when i got my dog. It doesn't hurt to ask anyways. Your gunna love the personality of a weim. Good luck |

hi,
Originally bred as a gundog to handle big game like deer and bear, the "Silver Ghost" was a highly sought-after breed in its native Germany. Today, these elegant but demanding dogs can still be found out on the hunting grounds, but can also make a fine family friend if well exercised.
here's more info:

hope this helps. |

Newspapers are not good ways to get a dog.
i would ask where they got the dog and for proof of what they say.
A petstore impulse buy, ok, buy for maybe 50 to 200.
A rescue dog, they are required to return him/her to rescue.
A reputable breeder, they are required to return him/her to breeder. And if they dont have any proof of where the obtained the dog from, I would consider them a BYB and turn them down.
Start with Weim rescues or a reputable breeder. Not a newspaper, craigslist, or kijji(sp). |

I used to have a Weimaraner. They get to be big dogs and if you plan on showing them they have to have a certain length of tail and they cannot have but a small patch of white on their chest. They have blue eyes as puppies then they get gold when grown up.They are also very smart. |
