That might be ok for a chili dog but not for a weimaraner, especially if you let him onto your carpet. |

Dogs are natural scavengers. While it is preferred to feed a dog dog food that has been tested to give him or her all the needed nutrients, dogs are fine on people food too. The down side to feeding a dog people food is that they have a tendancy to get over weight and can cause later health problems if fed too much of the wrong food.
While I don't think jalapenos would be the first thing I would feed my dog- I would not panic if a dog ate some. Most likely the dog might have some loose bowel movements and might have and upset stomach is the peppers don't agree with them. Most cheeses and beans and breads won't cause any problems though.
Did the dog steal some nachos off the table or something? Sounds like it snitched! |

this should be fine for the dog. Untill the 1950's dog food did not exsist. So until that point dogs ate whatever scraps they could get their paws on. I have read in several dog training books that it is actualy good to feed them whatever leftovers you have as it gives them a more well rounded diet. My dog eats anything that I dont want, including things far stranger than what you have mentioned (green curry, squash, raw fish, the list could go on forever) and she has never had a problem. I would only say to start slow and le the dog get used to eating human food. |

I don't think its ok to feed any kind of table food to a dog, because then they expect it. None of those things will hurt him, but too much people food can cause him to gain weight. Plus, most dogs won't eat peppers. I know because mine have tried and then spit them out. |

Small amounts of cheese, and small bites of bread wouldn't hurt your dog, but you would have to be an idiot to give a dog jalapenos or beans. |

FIRST OFF YOU SHOULDN'T GIVE YOUR DOG BEANS OR JALAPENO PEPPERS EVER! Do you want to destroy his digestive track? or would you like to have your dog have terrible gas that yes you would have to smell i don't think so! OK know that i am done lecturing sorry it's the mom in me. cheese and bread is OK just so long as it's not in eases. and until the pup is over a year old you probably shouldn't feed it any scraps of any kind it just promotes begging. I hope i have helped. |

I wouldn't feed that to a dog no matter how old he is! Talk to your vet about appropriate table scraps: better yet, stick to the dog food! |

My BF weimaraner will eat anything he can get a hold of including money, beer caps, and even saw dust. Last night we came home to an empty bag of bread they jumped up and pulled it off the back of the counter. So try to keep things out of reach, trash cans covered, and only give it dog food. Once in a while you can give it food as treats but be careful what you are feeding the dog as it could upset their digestive track. I don't know how the dog is still alive. |
