I give him raw meat bones and he just loves them as a treat. Also broccoli ends,asparagus,carrots,and potatoes when available. I need a list of what he needs daily for a healthy diet..

As long as you don't substitute more than 1/3 of his kibble with extras you won't be disturbing the balance of minerals in the dry dog food (you didn't say--I'm guessing you feed dry?) <a href="http://dogaware.com.hosting.domaindirect.com/dogfeeding.html#addfood">http://dogaware.com.hosting.domaindirect.com/dogfeeding.html#addfood</a>

If you are feeding homecooked or a raw diet, then you MUST become educated on how to make it balanced.

Minerals often need to be balanced with each other in the homecooked diet to work well. Giving too much of one mineral and not enough of another can affect growth and cause other problems in the body. Just one example of an imbalance: too much phosphorus (from meat) and not enough calcium (from bones, yogurt, egg shells).
If calcium is deficient in the blood, the body will withdraw some from the bones to insure enough calcium is in the blood stream for regulation of the heart muscle. Bone can lose up to 30% to 40% of its calcium before a deficiency becomes apparent.

You really should feed a nice quality natural dogfood..
Well balanced, and all the vitamins and minerals they need, then you don't need to worry about what you can and can't feed and how to keep balanced.. Fruit veggies and meat are great, but you need to make sure you have that balance there.

Watch the eyes of the potatoes, and make sure you cut any green off of potatoes before he gets them.

He needs dog food! Giving him human food is not enough to maintain a healthy diet.
