My Weimaraner gets an allergic reaction to a lot of foods. Only thing that seems to work alright is Eukanuba Sensitive Skin. Iv been looking for a better bang for its buck. A lot of forums discourage Eukanuba but look at the Sensitive Skin formula Ingredients. Different & Better than their original brand. Anybody agree? or can suggest a lower cost food. How about authority harvest bake? I've used, Diamond Naturals, Science Diet, & Blue Buffalo, but scars pop up right away

Well, I certainly don't like seeing "Brewer's Rice" as the second ingredient as this is just a cheap filler with no nutritional value. "Animal Fat" is not a good thing to see on the list either. This generic term can even refer to the crap they clean out of restaurant grease traps. I actually think that the Large Breed Adult looks better than the Sensitive Skin Formula as long as the dog being fed isn't allergic to corn.

The fact that your dog does so well on this particular food makes me wonder if he might be allergic to poultry and/or corn based on the list of foods you said he hasn't done well on. Have you tried to narrow down to the ingredient that is causing the problem?

Another good food that is corn free and is reasonably priced compared to other high end foods is Canidae. They have a lamb & rice formula which would keep your dog clear of corn and poultry if those are what he has issues with. I would also put a dog with this many skin problems on a fish oil supplement.
