Subject :Why is my Weimaraner Puppy peeing in her sleep?..

I've had this puppy since the DAY she was born. She is almost completely potty trained and crate trained, but when she sleeps on the floor under my computer desk or anywhere NOT in her crate she pees in her sleep. Even if she is sleeping on me, she pees. She was born on January 28,2009. She was born in my house... we rescued her mother.
I just don't know how to help her. We recently moved to our new place. I was curious if it was possibly stress related to the move...?
What should I do? I love laying with her on the couch but I don't know want pee all over me. I love letting her cuddle with my feet while on the computer, but I don't want my new carpet to smell like puppy pee....
HELP please!! |

Please take your puppy to the vet. Your puppy could have a urinary tract infection or... if already spayed, this can also cause incontinence. But you need a medical opinion as to what is or could be, going on. If it is incontinence, but not due to a UTI, there are drugs for a weak bladder sphincter muscle. She may also have a malformation in her vulva or urinary/reproductive tract, perhaps her being older something has changed since she has grown larger (if this is a new problem). I have seen partially inverted vulvas, that caused problems. |

mine also...which is troubling me. These are the tactics I have used which have reduced the frequency:
1) dun give her so much water
2) wake her every now and then to ask her to pee
3) tell her not to pee in the house, if not she will not be able to come in |

Scared In The New place. she might just do tht my dog did tht until she got used to the house. or trailor but try snuggling.Letting her sleep with u. see how she likes tht. if tht dont wrk take her to a vet the'll no wat to do. |

Just make sure you take her out lots before bed and dont let her drink till the morning. Maybe it is a cold floor? Maybe she just has a weak blader. Ask a vet about it and see if they can recommend anything. |

Maybe she is dreaming of being outside or that her owner is responsible and not lazy lets her out to pee every few hours. |

Puppies have weak bladders... it's OK. See if you can get a puppy pad for he to sleep on right now. |
