Hi all,

We got our 8 week old pup today :)

She is now in front of the fire fast asleep but she has been here for 4 hours and she wont eat or drink and is just sleeping.

She seems to be dreaming and crying in her sleep.

I know it's all new to her and a big shock to her system but will she perk up and is this normal?

Thanks alot

Hi

My weimaraner pup is now four and a half months old and hasnt grown out of dreaming and crying in his sleep. Sometimes he looks like he is running as his legs move all over the place - he even barks in his sleep.

So its totally normal :o)

I am just batling with seperation aniety with my little one now

Have lots of fun with your pup

Oops forgot to say - pups tend to sleep loads - so your little one is completely normal.

If you are giving your pup their food wet then he/she will take the water in from that.

i think after about two weeks your puppy will become acustommed to your house because my weim puppy took about 17 days to getr used tro it and he is now 14 weeks and is a delight to have in my house

hi there,

our little girl freya must be the exception to the rule. she spent the whole car journey home (about 7 hours) snoozing on my lap, wolfed down her dinner and some treats and then when we got back she spent ages getting to know her new home, having hyper play moments and then literally falling asleep mid play.

your wee one will settle in just fine, all she needs is to get to know the new environment and lots of affection so that she knows she's safe and loved. give her a couple of months and she'll be full of energy and there'll be no stopping her :-D
