Subject :Re:6 month old puppy keeps having accidents when he has been really good at going outside to toilet
Have you had his kidnies and bladder checked by the vet? I am only asking because you said "trickel" I am getting the impression that he is not actually going all the way?
If you are sure he is in good health then look at behavior:
Stress, territory issues, there are how many kids in the house? I read that young dogs will associate small kids as apart of their pack. An unfamilar kid may trigger a need to mark territory.
Then look at activity:
Do you keep water out for him all the time to drink?
Is he sleeping, playing, moving around, sitting... etc. before this happens?
Do you have time dedicated to him walking/running with you?
I wake up and go running with my Weim most mornings and during my lunch break from work we take a 30min-1hr long walk.
Are you being able to catch him doing it, is he doing it wihout you around?
You said you work out of the home. How close to your working area is he when he does it?
My best advise without knowing the details of your situation or the actual physical cause.. is for you to make a change in the routine with him.
Maybe, instead of leaving the door open for him to go out, you establish a schedule for taking him out. With mine its whenever he wakes up either from a small nap or from the night and after he eats. |
