The breeder will have cut the weimaraner puppy's nails several times. It is a good idea to keep to this practice. There is nothing more ugly, or uncomfortable for the weimaraner than long talons, which make his feet spread and create difficulty in walking.

Of course there is always the argument put forward by breeders and vets that your weimarner will wear his nails down naturally when walking on the road or any hard surface. However, experience shows that he will not, although some weimaraners wear them down and some do not.
Don't assume that you will be lucky, because if you are not and you have not got your weimaraner used to having his nails cut, you will find it difficult to restrain him and the quick of the nail will be long, so that the nail cannot be reduced successfully.
